Prescription-only medicines must not be advertised to the public (UK Human Medicines Regulations 2012). Naming a POM in promotional consumer content is a red flag — including named GLP-1 weight-loss medicines and named TRT medicines. The CAP Enforcement Notice on prescription-only medicines used for weight management (published jointly with the MHRA and the GPhC; first in force 11 April 2025, current version 23 September 2025) also treats injection-pen imagery and 'prescribed on the NHS' references as indirect POM advertising. Maintain per-vertical POM name lists.
